Arise was founded by Jewels Christine, a Christ following health and fitness professional who has a passion to give back. In 2014–2015 Jewels found herself in an unexpected position of being a single mom of 4 children and was forced to start life over. Devastated and depleted mentally, physically, financially, and spiritually, life was a moment my moment fight to hold onto faith and hope.

With tears streaming down her cheeks,
her two-year-old on her hip, a broken heart, and a shattered world, she waited in line to request government assistance. While learning the new language of this system, she cried out inside, “How can this be happening, God?!”
Amongst cycles of questions, pleading, and surrender, she felt God’s peace. It was just what she needed to stay, to believe, to hope, and to notice she was not alone. In a room full of nearly 100 people, the majority were women. Women with similar stories seeking help for them and their own children. In line, surrounded by hurting women, a passion was birthed within Jewels. She vowed to God to share her experience to help women believe, Arise and be set free. 

The road to the ARISE vision has been paved with time, challenge, difficulty, immense sacrifice, and huge leaps of faith. Regardless, God is so faithful. He provided over and over for Jewels and her children, and it wasn’t long before she was rebuilding a life of freedom she didn’t even realize had been stripped away.  Miracles, scholarships, family, friends, amazing humans who gave generously of their time, talents and resources are all a part of the impact. Many beautiful souls have linked arms with Jewels to help her ARISE, and she is beyond grateful. With her own experience and gratitude, she is excited to offer yoga and wellness services to the community while giving back. 

Arise is a nonprofit yoga and wellness center established to empower you to find balance, health, and freedom while giving back to help women in need. To GOD be all the glory!
